Jared Frayer, who has been a part of
Florida Pride since the inception of the camp some 15 years ago,
returns as a featured clinician. Jared is now an assistant coach
at Harvard University, where he continues training as a top national
contender.
As high school wrestler in Florida,
Jared was a 3-time HS state champion and he won the Jr. national
championship and was voted outstanding wrestler of the nationals.
At the collegiate level, Jared won the University Freestyle Nationals
and finished 2nd in the NCAA.
Now on the senior open level Jared
is among the top ranked competitors vying for the
national
team. Jared competes internationally and brings a wealth of experience
home for the Florida students.
Having been involved as a young student
at Florida Pride and then a college counselor, Jared Frayer brings
a special element to camp. He will share with students his expertise
in pinning, throws, defense and leg riding.
Other Clinician Coaches and Counselors
One of the key elements of Florida
Pride is the variety of the staff - a mix of college and high school
coaches and college level wrestlers. The Florida Pride staff is
comprised of a group of people who have been an integral part of
Florida wrestling for many years. In addition, college athletes
who have been a part of the camps as students and now wrestle for
universities across the country bring their real life experiences
as members of the staff.
