Camp
Director Glenn Goodman, who also instructs at the camp, is the camp
director and the originator of the Florida Pride Wrestling Camps. As
a competitor, Glenn Goodman accomplished many first time achievements
for Florida wrestlers. Glenn won the Cadet Nationals and went on to
be the world champion for that age group (16 and under), a first for
a Florida wrestler. In high school he won four state titles while compiling
a record of 111-0! Both of these accomplishments were "firsts"
for Florida wrestling.
At
the open level, Glenn Goodman was a member of the USA Wrestling Team
where he competed in numerous international tournaments and won a Pan
American gold medal.
Glenn
retired from competition with a gold medal performance at the 1993 Maccabiah
Games in Israel and he now lives in Clearwater and trains local wrestlers
on an individual basis
