2010 Summer Camp
June 14 - 18

Focused Instructional Program

Where most camps provide instruction to the group as a whole, PrideWrestling separates wrestlers based on their experience levels, so the instruction can be tailored to meet specific needs.

The Technique Program brings the students through a proven method of instruction and reinforcement of the strong fundamentals of wrestling. Additionally, high level moves like the inside trip and throws that will set the students apart from their competition will be presented.

  • Separates the camp into groups based on experience level
  • Enables the experienced wrestlers to receive instruction at a fast pace
  • Allows for the less experienced to focus on the fundamentals

Big Man Program

Big wrestlers have different needs. The "Big Man's" program will focus on the technical needs of larger wrestlers. The "Big Man" program will have separate technique sessions but the students will also participate in the dual meets, presentations by other featured clinicians, live wrestling and the camp tournament.

Team Concept & Competition

One of the best ways to improve wrestling skills is by learning through the experience gained from competition. One of the most popular programs at the camp has been the team concept. The campers are divided into teams and assigned a coach for the week. The teams will compete throughout the week in dual meet type competitions with the wrestlers of the winning team receiving awards. This team concept provides an atmosphere of fun and competition, which leads to personalized instruction from the team coaches.

Camp Tournament

There will be a camp tournament on the last day of camp with awards for the top 3 place winners. Parents and friends are encouraged to watch.
