STEPHEN ABAS
Olympic Silver Medalist
Stephen Abas, a silver medalist in the
2004 Olympics, is one of the USA greatest technical wrestlers. A master
on his feet, Abas will work with the camp on low shots and takedowns.
Stephen Abas has had a most incredible career at every
level. In high school he won three California state titles as well
as being the Jr. National Champion. In college, Stephen Abas continued
his dominance winning three NCAA National Championships, and then
he won the World University C hampionship in
Freestyle. At the open level nothing has changed. Stephen Abas is
the current US Open Champion and won a silver medal at the Olympics.
Now coaching at Fresno State University where he
wrestled, Abas plans to continue his competitive career in search
for an Olympic gold medal.
Florida Pride is honored to include such a great champion.
Stephen Abas will talk to the students about his stellar career, and
his Olympic experience. The students at Florida Pride will experience
meeting one of the greatest wrestlers in U.S. history.
